Function

  • Operates on either a dedicated line (2 or 4 wire) or telephone line.
  • Integrates a modem and a fiber optic concen-trator/ diffuser (optional) in the same hardwa-re.

Characteristics

  • Hayes Modem compatible, meeting the follo-wing standards: V21, V22, V22bis, V32, V32bis and MNP5, MNP10, V42 and V42bis
  • Configuration via hardware switches.
  • Data compression (V32bis and MNP5)
  • Error control (V42bis and MNP10)
  • 2 front panel RS232 direct inputs (optional); one for a direct PC connection and the other for a PC to diffuser channel connection (optional), plus 1 rear input via an RJ-11 connector.
  • 9 rear outputs: 1 output port (RS232, OF or RS485) and 8 outputs with diffuser type con-nectors (POF or GOF).
  • 2 optical indicators for activity on each diffu-ser communication port plus one LED for "equipment in service".
  • Autodiagnostic "self check" with one contact configured as "equipment in service".
  • Meets the requirements established by IEC-255 for the highest class of insulation, EMC (1 MHz, fast transients, electromagnetic dis-charges, susceptibility to electromagnetic fields and emissivity), temperature, interfe-rences and ripple supply and vibrations.
  • Auxiliary power : 48- 250 Vdc or 110-230 Vac (according to model)
  • Enclosure: 19" rack case 1 rack unit high
  • Digital input dedicated for automatic call to a predetermined number.
