Functions

Communications hub for protection and/or control equipment.
Allows a cyclical interrogation of protection and/or control equipment (from ZIV or other manufacturers) by a single Control Unit (UCI or RTU) while simultaneously communica-ting with a Protection System or Protection Information Management Unit.

Characteristics

4 Communication inputs: 2 remote communi-cation ports (POF, GOF or RS232) communi-cate with the Protection System, 1 (RS232 or POF) rear port is used to communicate with the Control System and 1 (RS232) front port is utilized for a local PC connection.
Outputs to protection and/or control equip-ment: 4,8,12,16, 20, 32, 40 or 60 ports (POF or GOF) according to model.
2 LED indicators monitor activity on each communication ports, plus one LED for "equipment in service."
Display of operations and records via
ziv communications software.
Autodiagnostic "self test" and monitoring.
Auxiliary voltage: 48/250 Vdc
Enclosure: 19" rack case, of 2 or 4U high units, according to model.
